Star-Spangled Idol for Tempe’s Fourth of July celebration
This year was the 3rd annual Tempe 4th of July Star Spangled Idol contest. Nearly forty contestants from all over the Valley competed to take the title of becoming the next Idol. Auditions were located at SKYE Restaurant and at the Westside Community Center in Tempe. Twelve potential Idol’s sang at the finals on Saturday June 26th in Tempe. There, two Kiwanian judges and a City of Tempe representative ranked the competitors to crown a champion. Sisters Sierra, 15 and Maycee, 12 sang the National Anthem together and won the judges' heart with their talent. The Ruiz sisters from Anthem, AZ will be performing the National Anthem at the Tempe 4th of July Festival..
